Opening Tip – Chicago State women's basketball travels to Morehead, Ky., to play a pair of games at the Vineyard Farms Classic this weekend at Morehead State's Johnson Arena. CSU takes on Saint Francis (Brooklyn) in the first game of the classic tomorrow afternoon at 3 p.m.

Scouting CSU – Chicago State comes into this weekend's action with a 0-2 season record after dropping its season opener to Evansville last Saturday by a score of 67-58. The Cougars are led by sophomore guard Tyeshia Bowers (Flint, Mich./Southwestern) as she currently averages 27 points per game while shooting 58 percent from the field and 86 percent at the free throw line. Junior forward Ines Mata Boix (Madrid, Spain/) has produced team highs of 8.5 rebounds, three blocked shots and three steals per game for CSU, while freshmen guards Kourtney Crane (Peoria, Ill./Richwoods) and Taylor Robinson (Bolingbrook, Ill./Bolingbrook) are tied for second on the team in scoring at nine points a game.

Scouting SFC – Saint Francis (Brooklyn) heads into the Classic with a 2-0 record after earning a pair of home wins last week against Mercy (102-51) and Manhattan (73-65) to open the season. Jade Johnson leads five Terriers in double figure scoring as she is averaging 19.5 points a game while 83 percent from the field, 67 percent from three-point range and 54 percent from the field.

Series History – Tomorrow's game marks the first-ever meeting between Chicago State and Saint Francis on the basketball court.
