Box Score CHICAGO – Chicago State women's basketball made its return to the Emil and Patricia Jones Convocation Center on Friday night with a crosstown battle against Loyola, but the Ramblers left the JCC with a 46-28 victory.
Freshman Tyeshia Bowers led CSU with 13 points and connected on six of her eight attempts from the free throw line, while senior Destiny Harris grabbed nine rebounds and added seven points.
Loyola was led by Jessica Cerda's game-high 19 points on 7-of-11 shooting, including 5-of-8 from three-point range.
CSU travels to Dayton, Ohio this Sunday to begin a five-game road swing with a contest at Wright State that will be shown live on ESPN 3 with the opening tip set for 1 p.m.
