Box Score CHICAGO – Redshirt sophomore Ines Mata Boix recorded a double-double for the third consecutive game for the Chicago State women's basketball team as it fell to in-state rival Western Illinois by score of 83-45 tonight at the Emil and Patricia Jones Convocation Center.
Mata Boix set a new career high for rebounds when she grabbed 16 boards and scored a team-best 14 points on 7-of-12 shooting. She also notched five steals and two blocked shots against the Leathernecks.
Freshman Tyeshia Bowers finished with eight points, five rebounds and four assists, while fellow classmate Tamara Olverson added seven points.
WIU received a pair of game highs from Emily Clemens as she tallied 21 points and eight steals.
CSU concludes its homestand Sunday afternoon against Morehead State with the opening tip set for 2 p.m.
