LAS CRUCES, N.M. – Senior Cailin Nix (Martinsville, Ind./Martinsville) tied a career high with 22 points and set a new season high for assists with five to lead the Chicago State women's basketball team here this afternoon against host New Mexico State at the Pan American Center.
 
The WAC-leading Aggies (10-6, 2-0) had six players score in double figures to capture a 100-63 victory over the Cougars (0-16, 0-2).
 
Nix shot 10-of-18 from the field and went 2-of-3 from three-point range in 37 minutes of play for CSU, who had three players score in double figures.
 
Sophomore Kaylee Allen (Cincinnati, Ohio/Winton Woods) tied a season high with 20 points and redshirt junior Jessica Cerda (Streamwood, Ill./Streamwood) contributed 11 points. Sophomore Nadia Miller (Chicago, Ill./North Lawndale) recorded career highs of eight points, six rebounds and two steals while shooting 4-of-5 from the field.
 
Tamera William recorded 20 points and two steals to lead NM State.
 
CSU is back in action on Thursday, Jan. 12 when it hosts rival Utah Valley at the Emil and Patricia Jones Convocation Center in a live broadcast on the WAC Digital Network with a start time of 7 p.m.
