OPENING TIP – The Chicago State women's basketball team concludes its four-game road swing on Wednesday night when it heads to Milwaukee for a non-conference battle on ESPN3 with a start time of 7 p.m.

SCOUTING CSU – Chicago State kicks off this week's slate sporting a 0-9 season record after dropping a close 59-54 decision at city rival Loyola last Saturday afternoon while receiving a pair of career-high 22 point-efforts from redshirt junior guard Jessica Cerda (Streamwood, Ill./Streamwood) and senior guard Cailin Nix (Martinsville, Ind./Martinsville). Sophomore forward/center Sh'Toya Sanders (Fort Wayne, Ind./Wayne) leads CSU with averages of 16 points, 9.9 rebounds and 4.1 blocked shots per game on the season. Cerda is averaging eight points per contest and junior guard Destiny Harris (Crete, Ill./Homewood-Flossmoor) is averaging 5.3 rebounds a game to rank second on the team.

SCOUTING UWM –  Milwaukee holds a 7-2 season record and had its six-game winning streak snapped last Sunday after losing a close 65-63 decision to Northwestern at home. The Panthers have three players producing double figure scoring averages with junior forward Steph Kostowicz leading the way at 18 points, 9.6 rebounds and 1.4 blocked shots a game. Kostkowicz is also shooting 84 percent from the free throw line and 57 percent from the field.
