Women’s Basketball Has Three Score in Double Figures vs. Wright State

CHICAGO – Three Chicago State women's basketball players scored in double figures as the host team dropped a close 71-65 decision to visiting Wright State this afternoon to finish a two-game homestand at the Emil and Patricia Jones Convocation Center.
 
CSU held advantages over the Raiders during the game in field goal percentage (.450-.439), three-point field goal percentage (.500-.455), assists (17-14), points off turnovers (11-10) and bench points (14-4).
 
Sophomore Sh'Toya Sanders (Fort Wayne, Ind./Wayne) tallied her second double-double of the season as she connected on 8-for-15 shooting from the field to tally 18 points while grabbing a career high-tying 11 rebounds and added a career-best six blocked shots to lead the Green and White.
 
Fellow sophomore Kaylee Allen (Cincinnati, Ohio/Winton Woods) contributed 16 points and dished out a career-best seven assists, while senior Konner Harris (Sidney, Ohio/Sidney) scored 11 points and set a new career high for assists with six.
 
Lexi Smith scored a game-high 20 points to lead Wright State (4-0), who had four players score in double figures.
 
The Cougars open a two-game road swing on Tuesday, Nov. 22 when they travel to DeKalb, Ill., to battle Northern Illinois in an ESPN3 with a start time of 7 p.m.
