OPENING TIP – The Chicago State women's basketball team concludes its two-game homestand here on Saturday afternoon when it welcomes Horizon League foe Wright State to the Emil and Patricia Jones Convocation Center with the opening tip set for 2 p.m.

SCOUTING CSU – CSU heads into its showdown with Wright State sporting a season record of 0-2 following a close 53-51 defeat to rival Valparaiso on Wednesday night in its home opener. Leading the Cougars is sophomore forward/center Sh'Toya Sanders (Fort Wayne, Ind./Wayne) with averages of 12.5 points, 3.5 blocked shots and 2.5 steals per game. Sophomore guard/forward Kaylee Allen (Cincinnati, Ohio/Winton Woods) is second in scoring at 9.5 points a game in addition to grabbing a team-high 8.5 rebounds per contest and is currently shooting 90 percent from the free throw line. Senior guard Cailin Nix (Martinsville, Ind./Martinsville) is tied with Sanders for the team lead in steals with an average of 2.5 per game.


SCOUTING WSU – Wright State comes to Chicago looking to close a two-game road swing through the state of Illinois on a good note as it holds a 3-0 season record. WSU started its road trip on Thursday night with a 71-61 victory at Eastern Illinois after coming back from a five-point halftime deficit. Junior guard Chelsea Welch leads the Raiders with averages of 18.3 points and 2.3 steals per game, while junior forward Lexi Smith is grabbing a team-best eight rebounds a game to go along with averaging 13.7 points per contest. Sophomore guard Symone Simmons has produced averages of 12.3 points and a team-leading 1.7 blocked shots per game for WSU.

SERIES HISTORY – Wright State has posted a 10-1 lead in the all-time series with Chicago State heading into Saturday's game. The Raiders captured an 81-40 win over the Cougars in the teams' last battle in Dayton on Dec. 29, 2014.

COAT DRIVE – The promotion for Saturday's game will be the "CSU Coat Drive" as patrons will receive free admission with a coat donation.

UP NEXT – The Green and White will open a two-game road swing in DeKalb, Ill., on Tuesday, Nov. 22 at Northern Illinois in an ESPN3 broadcast with a start time of 7 p.m.
