Cougar's come up short in the WAC Tournament

Box Score LAS VEGAS, NV- Cougars came up short in the WAC Touranment vs the Roadrunners of Bakersfield, 77 to 53.

The Cougars went on a 9-4 run into the first media timeout but after the timeout the Cougars shooting was off, while only making one field goal out of nine attempts whiched allowed the Roadrunners on a 21-2 run. 

The Cougars went into the half down 40-23 with Roadrunners never looking back in the second half.  Bakersfield outscored the Cougars 37-30 in the second half as both teams shot under 40% (9-25 for Chicago State, 12-33 for CSUB). The Roadrunners would force 19 turnovers which turned into 16 points for them. Roadrunner's defense stood tall creating 14 steals and out-rebounded Chicago State 39-37 which created more chances for the Roadrunners. 

CSU was lead by Paris Williams (St. Louis, Mo./Pattonville) was 10-of-11 from the free throw line on the way to a game high 21 points. Layne Murphy (Country Club Hills, Ill./Rich Central) had a double-double of 14 points and 10 rebounds.
