Chicago State Suffers 7-0 Loss to Valparaiso

Valpo defeated Chicago State, 7-0, in the afternoon matchup.

In doubles play, Mario Noboa (Santo Domingo de los Colorados, Ecuador) and Sergiu Muresan (Roman, Romania) were defeated at No. 1 6-2 to Jeffrey Schorsch/Charlie. Rohan Wattley (Slough, United Kingdom/Burnham) and Christian Gonzalez (Mungia, Spain/Larramendi Ikastola) fell to Bacalla/Oakes at No. 2 doubles 6-3. Julian Chavez (Bogota, Colombia) and Rashley Yeremia (Jakarta, Indonesia) were downed by Hamilton/Waak 7-6 (7-2) at No 3.

In singles, Luis Ulloa (Guayaquil, Ecuador) was defeated by Hickey at No. 6 6-1, 6-0. Julian Chavez (Bogota, Colombia) lost to Schorsch at No. 2, defeating, 6-0, 6-1. Dunn clinched the win at No. 4 with a 6-2, 6-0 result over Rashley Yeremia (Jakarta, Indonesia).

Christian Gonzalez (Mungia, Spain/Larramendi Ikastola) was defeated at No. 3, 6-2, 6-4 to Emhardt. Savaglio beat Rohan Wattley (Slough, United Kingdom/Burnham), 6-2, 6-3, at No. 5. Sergiu Muresan (Roman, Romania) fell to Bacalla 6-7 (5-7), 6-2, 10-8.

The Cougars fell to 2-10 in the spring season. The Cougars return to the court vs. Wayne State at the Homewood-Flossmoor Racquet and Fitness Club on Saturday (February 21st). The match is set to begin at 2:00 p.m.
