Cougars Win Battle Against Indiana University Northwest 78-56

Box Score Chicago, IL - Chicago State (4-18, 1-7 WAC) beat Indiana University Northwest 78-56 Wednesday night at the Jones Convocation Center

Play was back and forth in the first half being tied four times. With no score for the first two mintues of the game, it would be Konner Harris (Sidney, Ohio/Sidney) with the 3-pointer to take a lead of 3-0. The lead was never separated by more than seven points for the entire first half. At the end of the first, the Cougars would lead the Redhawks 34-27.

In the second half, the Cougars turned on the offense as they had a 11 point run to expand their lead 60-41 along with another run of 8pts near the end to go up 71-54 with 4:06 remaining. 

The Cougars were led by sophomore Konner Harris (Sidney, Ohio/Sidney) who had 19 points including five three-point baskets and senior Paris Williams (St. Louis, Mo./Pattonville) who contributed 16 points to the team total. As a team, the Cougars shot 88.9% from the free-throw line.

CSU travels next week to Kansas City to face the UMKC Kangaroos in conference play, Saturday February 14.
