SCOUTING CSU - CSU has six letterwinners return from last season which include two starters in senior forward Layne Murphy (Country Club Hills, Ill./Rich Central) and junior guard Konner Harris (Sidney, Ohio/Sidney). Murphy is the team's top returning player after averaging 10.4 points, 8.0 rebounds and 2.4 assists per game in 2014-15, while Harris averaged 8.4 points a game and connected on 38 percent (64-of-167) of her attempts from three-point range.

SCOUTING UI - Like CSU, Illinois brings back six letterwinners and two starters from last season's team that finished with a 15-15 record. The Fighting Illini posted a 95-36 exhibition win over the University of Indianapolis on Nov. 4 at Parkland. UI connected on 55 percent of its shot attempts and received a game-high 26 points from sophomore center Chatrice White. White is the leading returning player for the Illini after earning All-Big Ten Freshman Team and Honorable Mention All-Big Ten honors last season with averages of 14.5 points, 7.0 rebounds and 1.9 blocked shots a game.

SERIES HISTORY - This will be the fifth all-time meeting between CSU and Illinois with the Fighting Illini holding a 4-0 series lead.

MISS DO-IT-ALL - Layne Murphy (Country Club Hills, Ill./Rich Central) served as the Miss Do-It-All for CSU last season after finishing among the WAC statistical leaders in several categories, including second in rebounds (8.0 rpg), sixth in minutes played (33.2 mpg), seventh in field-goal percentage (.447), 10th in assists (2.4 apg) and 12th in scoring (10.4 ppg).

BALANCED RETURNS - The Green and White welcomes back 56 percent of its scoring, 55 percent of its assists and 51 percent of its rebounds from last season. 

BLOCK PARTY - CSU ranked third in the WAC in blocked shots last season after producing 92 blocks for an average of 3.17 per game.

SHARPSHOOTER FROM DOWNTOWN - Konner Harris (Sidney, Ohio/Sidney) proved to be one of the top shooters in the WAC last season as she ranked among the conference leaders in made three-point pointers (2.21 a game - second) and three-point percentage (.383). The Sidney, Ohio native also ranked 52nd for three-point percentage in the NCAA Division I leaderboard.

UP NEXT - CSU makes its debut at the Emil and Patricia Jones Convocation Center on Monday, Nov. 16 against UIC. The opening tip is set for 7 p.m.
