Highland Heights, Ky. - The Northern Kentucky Norse beat the Chicago State men's tennis team 5-2 at the Five Seasons Sports Club on Saturday afternoon (March 8).

Sergiu Muresan (Roman, Romania/) beat Mate Virag 4-6, 6-1, 6-2 at No. 1 singles while junior
Luis Ulloa (Guayaquil, Ecuador/) won 4-6, 6-2, 10-7 at No. 5 singles for the Cougars' two points on the afternoon.
Pierce Kohls defeated junior
Mario Noboa (Santo Domingo de los Colorados, Ecuador/) 6-3, 6-1. Freshman
Uros Pajic (Smederevo, Seribia/Maple Valley) suffered a 6-3, 6-2 loss to Jody Maginley. Junior
Julian Chavez (Bogota, Colombia/) went down 6-2, 6-2 to Christopher Angulo. Nick Lang was victorious 7-5, 6-2 over junior
Rashley Yeremia (Jakarta, Indonesia/).
The Norse won all three doubles matches to take the doubles point. Virag and Kohls were 8-3 winners over Muresan and Noboa. Lang and Angulo took down Pajic and Ulloa 8-4. Maginely and Jack Carney took home a 8-5 victory over Yeremia and Chavez to wrap up the scoring.
The Cougars fall to 1-12 on the year while Northern Kentucky improves to 3-3. Chicago State heads to Orlando, Fla. for their Spring Break trip. Their first match of the trip will take place on Tuesday (March 11) vs. Palm Beach Atlantic. The match will take place at 9:00 a.m. ET.
