Chicago State head coach
Jack Barton discussed getting more production out of his team after the match, but also pointed out the good things from the weekend.
"We just need more people on the team to step up," said Barton. "We can't rely on the same people for every match. The positive is that we split the weekend and played well against two well-coached teams."
The Cougars fell to 3-5 on the season while SIU improved to 2-3. CSU returns home to the Homewood-Flossmoor Racquet and Fitness Club for a three-match home stand beginning with a doubleheader next Saturday (Feb. 22) vs. conference rivals UTPA and Grand Canyon. The UTPA match begins at 10:30 AM while the Grand Canyon match is scheduled for 5:00 PM.Â
