Kansas City, Mo. – Despite a career-high 12 points from freshman
Konner Harris (Sidney, Ohio/Sidney), the Cougars fell to the Kansas City Roos 83-60 at the Municipal Auditorium on Saturday (Jan. 11).
Harris made four three-pointers to set her career mark. Sophomore
Layne Murphy (Country Club Hills, Ill./Rich Central) led the team with 13 points, her fifth consecutive game with at least ten points. Junior
Tierra Williams (Detroit, Mich./Lathrup) pitched in 12 points, five rebounds, four assists and two steals. It's the sixth time in seven games for Williams in which she scored at least ten points and snagged five rebounds.

Paris Williams (St. Louis, Mo./Pattonville) scored her 700
th career point during the first half and finished with nine points.
Kansas City never trailed in the first half, leading by as many as 13 before heading into halftime with a 38-27 advantage. They shot 64.0 percent from the floor (16 of 25) and had eight players score during the half.
In the second half, the Cougars cut the deficit to nine at 40-31 with 18:54 to go after Murphy's jumper. The Roos answered with a 15-6 run to push their advantage to 18 and CSU couldn't recover. Junior

Jasmine Sanders (Country Club Hills, Ill./Hillcrest) added in seven points in the second half.
Eilise O'Connor had 25 points while Grace Mitchell had 15 points and 11 rebounds in the victory for Kansas City.
The Cougars fell to 3-13 on the season and 0-3 in the Western Athletic Conference. Kansas City improved to 6-10 and 2-1 in the conference. Chicago State continues their road trip next week when they take on New Mexico State on Thursday (Jan. 16). Tip-off is set for 6:00 p.m. MT.
