HOMEWOOD, Ill. – Chicago State men's tennis closed out the regular season on Saturday (April 20) with a Mid-American Conference home contest with the Toledo Rockets. The Cougars fell 7-0.
Sophomore
Sergiu Muresan (Roman, Romania/) fell 6-4, 6-3 in the closest singles match. At No. 1 doubles he teamed with sophomore
Mario Noboa (Santo Domingo de los Colorados, Ecuador/) to match Nicholas Wong and Tomas Stillman 7-7 before the match was left unfinished since Toledo had already won the other two doubles matches to earn the doubles point.
Toledo improves to 19-10 (1-4 MAC). Chicago State falls to 1-22 (0-5 MAC). The Cougars travel to the MAC Championship Tournament April 26.
