ORLANDO, Fla. – Bethune-Cookman handed Chicago State men's tennis a 5-2 defeat on Friday (March 15) in the Cougars' final match in Florida during their spring break trip.
Sophomore
Sergiu Muresan (Roman, Romania/) won at No. 1 singles over Juan Varon 0-6, 6-2, 7-6. Sophomore
Rashley Yeremia (Jakarta, Indonesia/) delivered a victory at No. 5 singles, beating Moritz Pronath 1-6, 6-1, 11-9. The other singles matches went to Bethune-Cookman in straight sets.
Muresan and sophomore
Mario Noboa (Santo Domingo de los Colorados, Ecuador/) won at No. 1 doubles 8-3 but Cougars lost the doubles point.
Bethune-Cookman is now 12-8. Chicago State falls to 1-14. The Cougars host Eastern Illinois on Tuesday (March 19).
