INDIANAPOLIS – Chicago State women's basketball stepped out of Great West Conference play on Tuesday (Feb. 5) evening for a road contest at Summit League member IUPUI. The Jaguars got the best of the Cougars 65-30.

Tierra Williams (Detroit, Mich./Lathrup) (Detroit, Mich./Lathrup) led the Cougars with 14 points. She also added three steals. Sophomore
Paris Williams (St. Louis, Mo./Pattonville) (St. Louis, Mo./Pattonville) grabbed a game-high eight rebounds for the Cougars.
The lead changed hands six times in the first 10 minutes of the game. The Jaguars then used a 21-4 run to close out the first half to pull away from the Cougars.
Nicole Rogers led IUPUI with 19 points. Kerah Nelson added 14 points for the Jaguars.
IUPUI improves to 13-9. Chicago State falls to 4-19. The Cougars host Texas-Pan American on Saturday (Feb. 9) at 7:30 p.m. in the second game of a GWC doubleheader. The Chicago State men host NJIT at 5 p.m. on Saturday in the first game.
