SETTING THE SCENE -
The Chicago State women's basketball team takes on the Valparaiso Crusaders and Detroit Titans in the University of Toledo Invite on Friday (Dec. 6) and Saturday (Dec. 7).  This will be the first games for the Cougars away from the Jones Convocation Center since Nov. 13-16. 

PRESEASON AWARDS -
Paris Williams (St. Louis, Mo./Pattonville) was named to the College Madness Women's Basketball Preseason All-WAC Second Team.

CONFERENCE HISTORY -
This will be Chicago State's first season in the WAC after spending the previous four seasons in the Great West Conference. The Cougars were an independent from 2006-09 after 12 seasons in the Summit League. Prior to their time in the Summit, Chicago State spent one season in the East Coast League (1993-94) and their first seven years in Division I as an independent.

CHICAGO THREE PARTY - 
Tierra Williams (Detroit, Mich./Lathrup) has had at least one three-pointer in 16 of her last 18 games.
