SERIES HISTORY -
Chicago State and Indiana Institute of Technology have never faced each other.
STICK AROUND -
A men's basketball game with Chicago State and Urbana (Ohio) will follow Saturday's contest. The men's game will start a half hour following the women's game. The men will receive their 2013 Great West Conference Tournament Championship rings prior to the game. The 2013 banner will also be unveiled.
HOMECOMING -
Saturday's game is homecoming for Chicago State's campus.

Paris Williams (St. Louis, Mo./Pattonville) was named to the College Madness Women's Basketball Preseason All-WAC Second Team.

A Chicago State victory would be their first opening night win since the 2004-05 season (Loyola, 76-68).
CONFERENCE HISTORY -
This will be Chicago State's first season in the Western Athletic Conference after spending the previous four seasons in the Great West Conference. The Cougars were an independent from 2006-2009 after 12 seasons in the Mid-Con (Summit League). Prior to their time in the Mid-Con, Chicago State spent one season in the East Coast League (1993-94) and their first seven years in Division I as an independent. Â
