SERIES HISTORY -
This is the second meeting all time between Omaha and Chicago State. The Mavericks lead the series 1-0.

LAST MEETING - January 17, 2013
Paris Williams (St. Louis, Mo./Pattonville) scored 16 points and grabbed seven rebounds in a 62-47 loss to Nebraska Omaha. 

PRESEASON AWARDS -
Paris Williams (St. Louis, Mo./Pattonville) was named to the College Madness Women's Basketball Preseason All-WAC Second Team.

CONFERENCE HISTORY -
This will be Chicago State's first season in the WAC after spending the previous four seasons in the Great West Conference. The Cougars were an independent from 2006-09 after 12 seasons in the Summit League. Prior to their time in the Summit, Chicago State spent one season in the East Coast League (1993-94) and their first seven years in Division I as an independent.

RENAISSANCE WOMAN - 
Sophomore Layne Murphy (Country Club Hills, Ill./Rich Central) was one of only two players in the GWC to average at least five points, five rebounds, one block and one steal last season (Shanice Steenholdt, HBU).

Chanel Wilson-Stewart (Hillside, Ill./St. Joseph's) currently leads the WAC in rebounds per game (11.7)  (As of Nov. 17) The last Cougar to lead their conference in a category was Jackie Jones (Detroit, Mich./Martin Luther King) in assists (2012-13)

Tierra Williams (Detroit, Mich./Lathrup) has at least one steal in 11 of her last 13 games.
