Chicago State women's hoops (2-18, 1-1 Great West Conference) looks for their second GWC victory of the year when Houston Baptist (4-15, 0-1 GWC) comes to Chicago for a 1 p.m. tip. It is homecoming for Chicago State.
SERIES HISTORY -
Chicago State leads the all-time NCAA Division I series with Houston Baptist 6-0. The Cougars took a pair of contests over the Huskies last season. Chicago State won 79-66 on Jan. 21 in Houston with
Paris Williams (St. Louis, Mo./Pattonville) grabbing 19 rebounds in the game. The Cougars then won 63-41 Feb. 16 in Chicago. The Cougars forced 33 turnovers in the Feb. 16 contest.
DESTINATION: WAC 2013-14 -
Chicago State has accepted an invitation to join the Western Athletic Conference. The Cougars will join the WAC for the 2013-14 season.
TWO SIGN NLI's -
Jessica Cerda (Streamwood, Ill./Streamwood) and Konner Harris (Sidney, Ohio/Sidney) have each signed on to join the Cougars in 2013-14. Cerda is a 5-10 guard who was named a Top 50 player by the Chicago Sun-Times and Chicago Tribune. Harris is a 5-9 guard broke her school's career 3-point record (133) and single game scoring record (49).
PARIS WILLIAMS NAMED GWC POTW -
Paris Williams (St. Louis, Mo./Pattonville) took home Great West Conference Player of the Week honors on Jan. 22 for her performance against Nebraska Omaha and NJIT. Williams averaged 15 points and 10 rebounds. She helped CSU to a victory over NJIT with 15 points and 11 rebounds.

Chicago State had four players score in double-digits during CSU's 58-57 victory over NJIT (Jan. 19).
Jasmine Collins (Richton Park, Ill./Rich South) recorded a career-high 15 points in the game.
