CEDAR FALLS, Iowa – Northern Iowa bested Chicago State women's hoops 81-41 on Tuesday (Dec. 4) evening in a non-conference road game for the Cougars at the McLeod Center.
Chicago State was led in scoring by sophomore
Tierra Williams (Detroit, Mich./Lathrup) (Detroit, Mich./Lathrup) for a third consecutive game. Williams tied for a game high with 13 points. She also added two steals. The Cougars couldn't slow down the Panthers' offense as UNI shot 50.0 percent in the first half and 44.4 percent in the game. The Panthers made 10-of-21 attempts beyond the arc.
The Panthers improve to 4-4. Chicago State falls to 1-6. The Cougars stay on the road to play at Western Michigan on Saturday. Tip-for the game at Kalamazoo is set for 6 p.m. CT.
