Northwestern Takes Women’s Hoops Contest Over Chicago State

EVANSTON, Ill. – Northwestern handed Chicago State women's hoops an 82-38 loss on Monday (Dec. 31) afternoon.
 
Northwestern scored the first 12 points of the game. Chicago State advanced within eight points at 18-10 thanks to a jumper by sophomore Paris Williams (St. Louis, Mo./Pattonville) (St. Louis, Mo./Pattonville). Two of Northwestern's next three baskets came from beyond the arc to help the Wildcats pull away. The Wildcats made five 3-pointers in the first half alone, to take a 38-15 advantage at the break.
 
Karly Roser of Northwestern scored a game-high 16 points. Sophomore Tierra Williams (Detroit, Mich./Lathrup) (Detroit, Mich./Lathrup) led Chicago State with 11 points. Paris Williams (St. Louis, Mo./Pattonville) added seven points and six rebounds.
 
Northwestern improves to 8-5. Chicago State falls to 1-13. The Cougars host Akron on Thursday in a 7:00 p.m. start at the Jones Convocation Center.
