Chicago State (1-10) women's basketball makes the 22-mile trip north to Loyola (3-6) on Saturday to play the Ramblers at the Gentile Center. Start time is set for 2 p.m.
SERIES HISTORY -
Loyola leads the all-time NCAA Division I series history with Chicago State 11-4. The two clubs last met in the 2011-12 opener for the Cougars. Loyola defeated Chicago State 77-34. The Cougars last victory over the Ramblers came Nov. 20, 2007 at Loyola 55-53.
DESTINATION: WAC 2013-14 -
Chicago State has accepted an invitation to join the Western Athletic Conference. The Cougars will join the WAC for the 2013-14 season.
TWO SIGN NLI's -
Jessica Cerda (Streamwood, Ill./Streamwood) and Konner Harris (Sidney, Ohio/Sidney) have each signed on to join the Cougars in 2013-14. Cerda is a 5-10 guard who was named a Top 50 player by the Chicago Sun-Times and Chicago Tribune. Harris is a 5-9 guard broke her school's career 3-point record (133) and single game scoring record (49).

Jackie Jones (Detroit, Mich./Martin Luther King) is the only Cougar to start every game this season.
TAKING IT AWAY -
Chicago State totaled 18 steals against Rice (Dec. 13). It marked the most steals against a Division I opponent since recording 20 against Houston Baptist Feb. 16 of last season.
BLOCK PARTY -
Freshman
April Watson (Detroit, Mich./University Prep) recorded five blocks for the Cougars against Western Michigan on Jan. 8. It's the most blocks by a Cougar since
Natalie Marlowe (South Milwaukee, WI/South Milwaukee) recorded five against Rice on Nov. 18, 2011.

The Cougars are second in the Great West Conference in blocks per game with 3.9. Chicago State has 43 blocks on the season.

WHAT'S UP DOCK? -
The 2013-13 Cougars will have to make up for the loss of
Janay Dockery (Detroit, MI/Martin Luther King). Her 18.1 points per game average in 2011-12 led the GWC. Her average was nearly five points more than the second place finisher. Dockery also led the GWC in steals (3.2). Dockerey isn't far though. Dockery is serving as a student-assistant coach this year as she finishes up her degree.

Angela Jackson went back to another place she called home to find a fourth member of the 2012-13 squad. Junior transfer
Brittany Campbell (Indianapolis, Ind./Brebeuf Jesuit Prep School) comes to Chicago State after two seasons at Old Dominion. Jackson is a 1991 graduate of Old Dominion. Campbell will use the 2012-13 season as a redshirt campaign.
IN NON CONFERENCE PLAY -
The 2012-13 Chicago State schedule features non-conference games with eight NCAA Division I conferences. The slate includes contests with schools from the SEC (Missouri), Big Ten (Northwestern) and Conference USA (Rice).
