Chicago State Women's Basketball Suffers Setback At Hampton

Cougars play Central Methodist on Nov. 26

HAMPTON, Va. – Chicago State women's basketball lost 87-35 on Sunday (Nov. 18) afternoon to Hampton in a non-conference contest.
 
Hampton used a 55-35 rebounding advantage to take control of the contest. Keiara Avant led Hampton with a game-high 24 points. Sophomore Jasmine Collins (Richton Park, Ill./Rich South) (Richton Park, Ill./Rich South) and sophomore Jackie Jones (Detroit, Mich./Martin Luther King) (Detroit, Mich./Martin Luther King) each scored seven points for the Cougars.
 
Hampton, which defeated Southern Miss, Mississippi and LSU in their first three games of the season, moves to 4-0 with the win. The Cougars fall to 1-3.
 
Chicago State takes a week off for the Thanksgiving holiday before returning to the court on Monday (Nov. 26) against Central Methodist. The contest will start at 7:00 p.m. at the Jones Convocation Center.
