Robinson Leads Five CSU Players in Double Figures as Cougars Break 25-Game Losing Skid with 91-63 Win Over St. Francis (Ill.)

Jeremy Robinson tallied a career-best 29 points and four blocked shots with nine rebounds today against St. Francis (Ill.)

CHICAGO – Junior Jeremy Robinson (Decatur, Ill./Eisenhower) (Decatur, Ill.) led five Chicago State players in double figures as the host Cougars snapped a 25-game losing streak with a 91-63 win over local NAIA member St. Francis (Ill.) today at the Emil and Patricia Jones Convocation Center.

The win hiked CSU's record to 1-16 while the Fighting Saints fell to 9-8 on the year.  

Robinson tallied a career-best 29 points on 11-of-14 shooting from the field along with posting a game-high nine rebounds and a career high-tying four blocked shots.

Senior Ardarius Simmons (Chicago, IL/Southeastern (IA) CC) (Chicago, Ill.) recorded a season-best 14 points and freshman Jacobby Anderson (Springfield, IL/Southeast) (Springfield, Il.) produced a season-high 13 points, while graduate student Lee Fisher (Dolton, IL/Northern Illinois) (Dolton, Ill.) added 12 points and a game-high five assists.  

Sophomore Aaron Williams (Chicago, Ill./Chicago Vocational) (Chicago, Ill.) rounded out the quartet with 10 points, five rebounds and a season-high three assists.

St. Francis was paced by senior Jordan Lee, who recorded 19 points and seven rebounds in 32 minutes off the bench. Sophomore Andrew Lerg and freshman Chris Miller each contributed nine points. 

The Green and White open Great West Conference play Thursday night at the Jones Convocation Center against Texas-Pan American with a start time of 7:05 p.m.
