ROCKFORD, Ill. – In their first year of affiliation as a member of the Mid-American Conference, Chicago State men's tennis was eliminated from the Conference Championships on Thursday afternoon with a 4-0 loss to the fourth-seeded and tournament host, the Huskies of Northern Illinois.
The Cougars finished the season with a 4-12 overall record, which included their first ever MAC victory over the University of Buffalo.

In singles action, NIU' Brian Livingston triumphed over
Prakoso Imanuel (Jakarta, Indonesia/Jakarta, Indonesia), 6-1, 7-6 at No. 1. Todoric fell to Chu, 6-1, 6-4 at No. 4 singles, while Mamahit lost to Hansen, 6-2, 6-1 at No. 5 singles.
Thursday's match was moved indoors to the Clock Tower Racquet Club in Rockford after high winds and expected inclement weather at the outdoor venue, the Huskie Tennis Courts in DeKalb, made for unplayable conditions.
Northern Illinois advanced to the semifinal round and will face top-seeded Western Michigan on Friday afternoon. In the other match of the first round, Toledo defeated Buffalo, 5-1. The Rockets meet second-seeded Ball State in the other semifinal.
