WEST PALM BEACH, Fla. — The Chicago State women's golf team closed out its 2025-26 season with a strong showing at the PGA WORKS Women's Collegiate Championship, finishing tied for fourth at The Park in West Palm Beach with a three-round total of 940 (+88). The Cougars posted scores of 313 (Round One), 324 (Round Two), and a season-best 303 (Round Three) to surge up the leaderboard on the final day of competition.
Begoña Perez led the Cougars with a standout performance, finishing sixth overall with a 228 (+15) across the three rounds.
Maria Quintero followed with a 13th-place finish, carding a 234 (+21) to cap a consistent week.
Hannah Butzer delivered a strong final round to secure a tie for 20th place at 242 (+29), while
Aarushi Bhanot finished tied for 27th with a total of 247 (+34).
Although not included in the team scoring, Almudena Aguera turned in one of Chicago State's top individual performances of the championship, finishing tied for 15th with a 240 (+27) a result that highlighted the depth and balance of the Cougar lineup.
Chicago State's final-round 303 marked one of the lowest team scores of the day and served as a fitting close to a season defined by growth, resilience, and competitive progress. This strong finish wraps up a great 2025–26 season for the women's golf team, highlighting the strides made across the roster and the momentum the Cougars will carry into offseason training and preparation for next year.
