CHICAGO, Ill. (August 25, 2025) – Chicago State University women's basketball head coach
Corry Irvin has announced the Cougars' 2025–26 schedule, featuring a challenging nonconference slate, a series of marquee home contests, and a full Northeast Conference (NEC) campaign inside the
Jones Convocation Center.
The Cougars will open the season on
Monday, Nov. 3, with a road trip to
Cleveland State, before returning home for their
Home Season Opener hosting Education Day against
Winthrop on
Wednesday, Nov. 5 at 11 a.m.
Chicago State's nonconference schedule includes road matchups at
Notre Dame (Nov. 9),
Illinois State (Nov. 12),
Western Illinois (Nov. 17), and
Northern Illinois (Nov. 24), along with tournament play at the
Florida Gulf Classic (Nov. 28–29) in Fort Myers, Fla. The Cougars will also travel west for contests against
Bradley, Fresno State, Arizona, and Utah Tech before closing out the nonconference slate at home against
Clemson on Sunday, Dec. 28 at 2 p.m.
NEC play begins on the road at
Wagner (Jan. 2) and
LIU (Jan. 4), followed by the conference home opener against
FDU on Jan. 8 at 6 p.m. Key promotional nights include the
MLK Tribute Game versus
Stonehill (Jan. 10),
Greek/Sorority Night against
Saint Francis (Jan. 22), the
Epilepsy Awareness /Purple Game versus
Mercyhurst (Jan. 24), the
National Women and Girls in Sports Day versus
Central Connecticut (Jan. 31), the
Pink/Cancer Awareness Game versus
LeMoyne (2/14), the
Black History Month Game versus
LIU (Feb. 26), and
Senior Night against
Wagner (Feb. 28).
"Our schedule is designed to challenge us early and prepare us for conference play," said head coach Corry Irvin. "We're excited to compete against top opponents and create a great home atmosphere for Cougar Nation."
The Cougars will play 16 total conference games, concluding the regular season at Stonehill on March 5.
