BRIDGEWATER, N.J. - After posting her first career double-double with 15 point and 10 rebounds in a heartbreaking 62-61 loss to Central Connecticut State and 17 points against Wagner, Chicago State's Aiyanna Culver was named NEC/ATLANTIC TOMORROW'S OFFICE Women's Basketball Rookie of the Week.
Culver, who has won this honor four times during NEC action, is averaging 14.3 points per game and has scored in double figures in 13 of the last 14 games, failing to reach double figures in just one NEC contest this season. Her 10 rebounds against CCSU was a career best and marks the seventh time this season she's nabbed five or more rebounds.
Chicago State will close out the regular season with homes contests against Mercyhurst and Saint Francis University. The Cougars will honor the senior class on Saturday.
