Box Score The Chicago State volleyball team looked to be turning the tide in their second match of the Capital Credit Union Classic hosted by Green Bay but ultimately dropped a 3-1 decision to St. Thomas. After losing the first two games, 25-19, 25-17, Chicago State won game three 25-22 and led 22-19 in game four, looking to move the match to a fifth and deciding game. The Tommies came back and led 24-23 and Chicago State turned away five match points before ultimately falling 30-28.
Karly Klaer led the Cougars with 12 kills while
Julieta Sandez added 11 and
Berenice Almeyda 10 for the Cougars.
Andrea Calderon had 29 digs to lead Chicago State while
Wiktoria Zagumny led CSU with 44 assists.
The Cougars will wrap up play in the Capital Credit Union Classic host by Green Bay on Saturday against Minnesota at noon.
