Box Score The Chicago State volleyball team opened the 2024 season with a 3-0 loss (25-20, 25-18, 25-23) to Bowling Green Thursday night in both team's first match of the season in the first match of the Best Western Invitational hosted by the Falcons at the Stroh Center in Bowling Green, Ohio. The Cougars had chances in each of the three sets, trailing by just two (21-19) late in the first set, by five late in the second (22-17) and tied 22-22 in third.
Patrycja Lagida and
Zahara Quraishi led the Cougars with 10 kills each, hitting .333 and .226, respectively, which also led the team.
Wiktoria Zagumny led CSU with 20 assists,
Karly Klaer had two service aces and
Andrea Calderon led in digs with 10.
The Cougars will continue play in the Best Western Invitational Saturday, facing the University of Cincinnati at the Stroh Center at 2 p.m.
