Box Score The Chicago State men's soccer team played Bradley to a 0-0 tie for the first 60 minutes in their season opener against the Braves Thursday night at Shea Stadium in Peoria before BU took the lead at the 60:37 mark then held on for the win.
The game was tight throughout with Bradley holding a slim margin in both shots, 16-12, and shots on goal, 5-4.
Dasha Curiel,
Bill Okumu and Hillary Odhiambo each registered three shots while Okumu, Curiel,
Danail Sergiev and
Aldo Jimenez each led the team with one shot on goal. Goal keeper
Lucas Fontana made four saves.
Chicago State will be back in action Sunday (August 25), traveling to DeKalb, Illinois to face NIU at 6 p.m. at NIU Soccer and Track & Field Complex.
