Delaney Kenney Notches Goal in 3-1 Loss to Valparaiso

Box Score Chicago State scored first but Valparaiso countered and went on the offensive in a 3-1 win in women's soccer Sunday afternoon at Gwendolyn Brooks College Prep in Chicago. 

Senior midfielder Delaney Kenney opened the scoring just over two minutes into the game on a goal assisted by Jackie Tamayo to give the Cougars an early lead but Valparaiso countered with a tying goal about five minutes later and the teams were tied 1-1 at the half. The Beacons took the lead just :34 second into the second half and scored in the final minute for the 3-1 win.

The Cougars will be back in action Thursday, August 22, traveling to Edwardsville, Illinois to face SIUE at 5:30 p.m. at Ralph Korte Stadium.
