Box Score The Chicago State women's tennis team finally had a 4-3 decision go their way after beating Purdue Northwest by that count Sunday afternoon at the H-F Racquet and Fitness Club in Homewood. The Cougars have been involved in four matches by that same score in their last five contests but previously were on the wrong side of the ledger. CSU won the doubles point and the first three singles matches to clinch the victory before Purdue Northwest won the the last three matches for the 4-3 final.
"I thought our team showed great resilience in the second match today," head coach
Jack Barton said. "Purdue Northwest played really well but we were able to get out early in singles and we took control of the of the match. We finally got a 4-3 decision to go our way. We have been playing really good tennis for the last two weeks so it's great to get the ball to bounce our way."

The Cougars will face St. Louis at home Saturday, February 24 at 10 a.m. then will face Chicago on Sunday, February 25 at 4 p.m. at the Henry Crown Field House.
