Noble Crawford Nets 18 Points in Loss at St. Louis in Men’s Basketball

Box Score The Chicago State men's basketball team had a cold-shooting second half and the host St. Louis Billikens took advantage en route to an 85-62 win over the Cougars Sunday at Chaifetz Arena in St. Louis.

Chicago State never led in the contest but after trailing by nine with just over five minutes remaining in the first half, the Cougars cut the margin to two, 27-25, following three straight possessions with 4:22 left to play in the first 20 minutes. St. Louis hit a three to end the half and went into the locker room with an eight-point lead, 41-33. CSU cut the lead to one, 50-49, at the 15:31 mark before the Billikens broke the game open with a 24-5 run and the eventual 23-point win.

Noble Crawford led the Cougars with 18 points while Jalen Forrest had 13 and Troy McKoy 11 to round out the double-digit scorers for CSU. 

The next action for the Cougars will be Sunday, December 15 when Chicago State will travel to Macon, Georgia to face Mercer at Hawkins Arena at 1 p.m.
