Box Score Chicago State led at the half before CSUN used a second-half 9-0 run to pull away in a tight game for an eventual 81-57 win over the Cougars Saturday at Premier America Credit Union Arena in Northridge, California. CSU hit 4-of-13 three-point attempts in the first half while CSUN was 0-of-8 and the Cougars held a 25-22 advantage at the break. The Matadors turned around their cold shooting in the second half, hitting 55.9 percent of their shots including four threes.
Matthew Robinson, Jr., and
Saxby Sunderland each had 14 points to lead Chicago State in scoring while
Noble Crawford led all players with nine rebounds and he also led the Cougars with six assists.
The Cougars wrap up their non-conference schedule Sunday, December 29, traveling to Champaign, Illinois to face the University of Illinois at the State Farm Center.
