Box Score The Chicago State men's basketball team lost to former Western Athletic Conference foe Grand Canyon University 74-51 Thursday night at Global Credit Union Arena in Phoenix, Arizona. The Lopes broke open a tight game with an 11-0 run midway through the first half and led by 20 at the break. The Cougars pulled to within 18 early in the second half but couldn't claw back closer as GCU shot over 50 percent in the contest compared to 37 percent for CSU.
Noble Crawford was the lone Cougars player in double figures with 11 points while
Jalen Forrest had nine, Troy McKoy had eight and
Gabe Spinelli and
Saxby Sunderland seven apiece.
The Cougars will stay on the road for their next game, traveling to Northridge, California to take on CSUN on Saturday, December 21 at 1 p.m. at Premier Credit Union Arena.
