Box Score Loyola pulled out a 70-68 overtime win Tuesday at Gentile Arena on the Loyola campus. Chicago State overcame an early 18-10 deficit and took took a two-point lead into the locker room at halftime, leading for nearly 19 minutes of the game before a late 9-0 Loyola run erased Chicago State's seven-point fourth-quarter lead. Kace Urlalcher made two free throws to force overtime. The Cougars took an early lead in the extra session before the Ramblers went on a 9-0 run for a six-point lead before
Josie Hill hit a three and the Cougars had possession with a chance to tie the game at the end of the extra session but settled for a two and Loyola made one free throw for the two-point win.
Evangelina Parrish scored all 12 of her points in the first half to help the Cougars out to the lead and
Aiyanna Culver and
Josie Hill each finished the contest with 20 points apiece to round out the double-digit scorers for Chicago State. Culver finished the day with seven rebounds, seven assists, one block and four steals.
The Cougars will be back in action, competing in the North Texas Multiple-Team Event (MTE) on December 20-21, first taking on SMU at 4 p.m. on Friday, December 20 at The Super Pit in Denton, Texas.
