Raymond Oriakhi and
Trevon Prince won their respective events and established new school records Friday as the Chicago State track and field teams competed at the DePaul Holiday Invitational at Gately Park in Chicago.
Oriakhi qualified for the 60m finals in a time of 8.11 then, in the finals, ran a school record time of 7.94 as the Cougars finished 1-4-5 in the event with
Mychah Spells finishing fourth with a time of 8.21 and
Ishan Cooper fifth with a time of 8.27.
Trevon Prince also took medalist honors in the 600m in a school record time of 1:20.89, eclipsing the previous mark established by Alex Vandor in 2023 who ran 1:21.75.
