Chicago State Men’s and Women’s Cross Country Teams Compete at NEC Championships

The Chicago State men's and women's cross country teams competed at the NEC Championships Friday at the CCSU Cross Country Course in New Britain, Connecticut. Both the men and women finished ninth out of nine teams while the host school, Central Connecticut State, swept to wins in both races with the men scoring 16 points and the women 39.

Weronika Stanczak paced the women in the 5k race, finishing 28th overall with a season-best time of 19:23.30 and, on the men's side, Trevon Prince was the first across the line for Chicago State, finishing 70th in a time of 33:01.20 in the men's 8k.

Chicago State University sponsors 16 Division I intercollegiate athletic teams and competes in the Northeast Conference with the exception of men's and women's tennis who will compete in the Horizon League during the 2024-25 season.
