Box Score The Chicago State volleyball team beat LIU 3-0 Saturday afternoon at the Jacoby Dickens Center in Chicago 25-16, 25-18 and 25-14 to remain undefeated in Northeast Conference play.
The Cougars hit .352 as a team compared to .023 for the visiting Sharks.
Karly Klaer and
Patrycja Lagida led all players with 13 and 12 kills, respectively. Four CSU players ranked in the top five in digs with
Zeynep Ertam and
Wiktoria Zagumny recording nine each and Klaer and
Andrea Calderon each had eight. Zagumny led all players with 36 assists and she recorded 75 over the two-game set against LIU.
With the win, Chicago State improves to 4-0 in the Northeast Conference while LIU falls to 1-3. The Cougars have dropped just one game in four matches, accumulating a 12-1 games record in conference competition. The Cougars will be back in action next weekend, October 18-19, hosting Le Moyne College at 6 p.m. Friday and 1 p.m. Saturday at the Jacoby Dickens Center.
