Kansas State Gets Past Chicago State 62-55 in Men’s Basketball

Box Score The Chicago State men's basketball team lost to Kansas State 62-55 Tuesday night at Bramlage Coliseum in Manhattan, Kansas. Chicago State led by as many as seven in the first half before K-State ended the half with a 6-2 run and the Cougars went into the locker room at halftime leading by three, 30-27. Kansas State opened the second half with an 11-2 run to take the lead and maintained a slim advantage for much of the second half. CSU got within two, 46-44, with 10:18 remaining in regulation but K-State responded with a 6-0 run and CSU wouldn't get closer than five the rest of the way. 

Wesley Cardet led the Cougars with 19 points and Jahsean Corbett added 12, 10 of those coming in the first half when the Cougars hit 5-of-8 three pointers.

Chicago State will be back in action and back against a Big 12 team Wednesday, January 3, traveling to Stillwater, Oklahoma to face Oklahoma State at 6 p.m. at Gallagher-Iba Arena.
