Box Score Jahsean Corbett registered a triple double with 27 points, 19 rebounds and 11 assists as the Cougars ran past East-West University 131-55 Friday at the Jones Convocation Center in Chicago. The Cougars never trailed and mounted a double-digit lead at the 13:26 mark of the first half and the Phantoms wouldn't get any closer as CSU led by 33 at the half, 61-28, and by more than 50 for most of the second half.
Chicago State had seven players in double figures led by Corbett's 27. Wesley Cardet had 26,
A.J. Neal with 18,
Cameron Jernigan with 15,
Noble Crawford with 14,
Brent Davis with 11 and
Alex Raiford with 10.
The Cougars will be back in action Sunday as part of men's and women's doubleheader. The women host Central Michigan at 2 p.m. and the men's game, against Saint Xavier, will start a half hour following the conclusion, approximately 4:30 p.m.
