Box Score The Chicago State women's soccer team earned their second victory of the year with a 2-1 win over Eastern Illinois Sunday afternoon at Lakeside Field in Charleston. CSU's
Gisselle Sahagun hit the back of the net in the 74th minute to break a 1-1 tie and the Cougars held on for the 2-1 victory. The goal was Sahagun's second in the last two games.
Eastern opened the scoring with a goal just over four minutes in the match but the Cougars countered in the 14th minute when
Daliisha Spence scored her first goal of the season and the teams went into the locker room at halftime tied 1-1.
Julie Arballo went the distance for Chicago State in goal and was credited with five saves.
The Cougars will be back in action Sunday, September 17, traveling to Toledo, Ohio to face the University of Toledo at Paul Hotmer Field at noon.
