Jacqueline Tamayo found the back of the net two times but it wasn't enough as the Chicago State women's soccer team dropped a 4-2 loss at Lindenwood Thursday night.
In the first half, the Lions racked up nine shots with two of them finding the back of the net and, at the break, Lindenwood led 2-0.
To start the second half, the Lions once again converted a goal two minutes in to extend the lead to 3-0.
At that point, the Cougars finally fired one in as
Jacqueline Tamayo earned her second goal on the season. The Lions answered back and added another and lead by 4-1.
Chicago State managed to put another goal on the board with Tamayo earning her second of the match, and third of the season, but Lindenwood prevailed 4-2.
The Cougars will next face off at Valparaiso University on August 31 at 7:30 p,m..
