Box Score The Chicago State men's tennis team dropped a 4-0 decision to UIC Tuesday afternoon at the H-F Racquet & Fitness Club in Homewood. The Flames earned wins at No. 1 and 2 doubles leaving the CSU duo of
Percy Siercke and
Hugo Hidalgo Vega unfinished with a 5-3 lead. In singles, Hidalgo Vega led at No. 2 7-5, 2-3 when UIC claimed the team win.
"I was proud of the fight of the guys today," head coach
Jack Barton said. "They left it out on the court. There are still some things we have to do strategically, but they really gave UIC a run for their money today. They made them earn it."

The men's tennis team will take a 10-day break from the court and return to action Friday, February 17 at Toledo at the Shadow Valley Tennis Club at 6 p.m., then stay in Toledo to face Duquesne Saturday, February 18 at the same location for a neutral-site match.
