The Chicago State women and men's track & field teams competed in their second day the Grand Valley State Big Meet on February 11th. For the men's team, Mechack Kimutai,
Maxwell Mitchell, Nicolae Vendor, and
Collines Chelak smashed the DMR school record by over 8 seconds with a time of 10:13.61. While for the women's team, Freshmen Abigail Limo,
Sanaa Parker,
Caroline Jelimo, and
Brenda Jepkoech broke their own DMR school record by over 2 seconds with a time of 12:23.53. The Cougars will next compete in the Margaret Bradley Invitational on February 18th.
