Wesley Cardet Scores 27 Points in Men's Basketball Loss at California Baptist

Box Score Wesley Cardet scored 27 points and Jahsean Corbett added 20 in a 74-62 men's basketball loss at California Baptist Wednesday night in Riverside, California.

First Half - California Baptist 31, Chicago State 28
- The Cougars came out with a 4-0 run with buckets from Cardet 
- Both teams then went on to trade buckets and the Cougars maintained the edge 7-5 to continue to lead 11-5
- The Lancers managed to answer with a 6-0 run to tie it up at 11-11
- Much like at the start of the game, the half finished with an array of scoring from both teams and the Lancers led 38-31 at the half

Second Half - California Baptist 74, Chicago State 62
- The Cougars managed to come out and score quickly after a tough layup from Deshawn Jean-Charles to reach a 31-30 score
- The Lancers retaliated with a 4-0 run to retake momentum with a 35-30 lead
-  The Cougars bounced back with a 7-2 run featuring scoring from Cardet and A.J. Neal to once again tie it all up at 37-37
- Once again teams ensued onto back-and-forth scoring which all led up to a small lead for the Lancers at 44-43
- Cal Baptist then went on a 16-8 run which  cemented their win as they rode this momentum and sealed the win with a 74-62 score

The Cougars will return to action on Saturday, December 30th against De Paul at Wintrust Arena at 3:00 p.m.
