UIC Uses Strong Second Quarter to Get Past Chicago State Women’s Basketball 76-46

Box Score The Chicago State women's basketball lost to UIC 76-46 Friday night at Credit Union 1 Arena in Chicago. The Cougars led by three, 16-13, with just under two minutes left in the first quarter before the Flames closed the stanza with a 4-0 to lead 17-16 going into the second. UIC extended the run and outscored CSU 24-3 to turn a tight game into a comfortable lead and cruised to the 30-point victory.

The Cougars were led by Jacia Cunningham who had 20 points while ZiKeyah Carter had nine rebounds and six blocks.

The Cougars will be back in action December 18-20 in the four-team FIU Tournament at the Ocean Bank Convocation Center in Miami, Florida, hosted by Florida International University. The Cougars first opponent will be Alabama A&M on Monday, December 18 at 1 p.m., followed by Texas State Tuesday before wrapping up with host FIU Wednesday.
